San Francisco pet owners working to end and prevent their homelessness have limited access to expensive veterinary resources for their furry four-legged best friends. In addition to offering free pet food, supplies and dog training; Full Belly Bus's (FBB) mobile pet care team provides essential veterinary support for this vulnerable pet population.
With help from FBB’s Sugar Fund veterinary program, 143 pets were cared for by our generous board-certified veterinary practitioner partners last year. Cats, dogs and two guinea pigs (!) received free medical care including: wellness exams, preventative vaccinations, skin, eye, ear treatments and surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removal, minor eye & dental procedures, and laceration repairs.
This comprehensive, expert care was provided to pets staying at various Covid emergency shelter-in-place hotels, Safe Sleeping Villages, and Navigation and SAFE Centers.
This is why we are currently requesting donations to our Sugar Fund veterinary program. Your generous donations will help to continue to give these pets the much-needed medical care they deserve.
Thank you for helping us to keep more pets healthy, happy, and safe.
