FBB Veterinarian Dr. Julio Bolívar-Dillon graduated from San Marcos National University in 1975 and became a Small Animal Specialist in 1978 in Lima, Peru. After emigrating to the United States he earned his US accreditation as a Veterinarian in 1984.  Making the Bay Area his home, he worked in different hospitals which inspired him to provide less stressful, easy access, in-home medical care.  In 1989, Dr. Bolivar-Dillon’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to create Vet On Wheels.

FBB Advisor to the Board and Dog Trainer Corinne Dowling received her Certificate in Training and Counseling from the Academy for Dog Trainers at the SFSPCA in April 2009. She pioneered environmental enrichment for dogs in long-term shelter care in 2000 in a local shelter as the Creator and Founder of Give a Dog a Bone. She is committed to force free, science-based training and believes that the learning process is most successful when dog training is enjoyable and engaging. She is a member of the Association of Dog Trainers and the Pet Professional Guild.

A Bay Area native, FBB Team Member, Marisa Plaice got involved in animal rescue ten years ago when she adopted her first dog. Since then, she has worked for rescue groups, volunteered with shelters, and is currently working at SF Animal Care & Control as a veterinary technician. Marisa brings a host of experiences and knowledge to the Full Belly Bus team. She lives in the city with her amazing husband, gorgeous son Charlie, three rescue dogs, and one adopted cat who thinks she’s a dog. 

FBB Team Member Pauline Le is a volunteer at SF Animal Care & Control where she is passionate about working with the city's stray, custody and behaviorally-challenged dogs.  She is also supporting a data initiative to analyze long-term trends at SFACC.  When not at ACC, Pauline spends time with her husband and two pups, volunteers as a court-appointed advocate for foster kids and she is a healthcare consultant for the hospital industry.

As a professional dog trainer, walker and rescuer, FBB  Executive Board Member Laura Sweet has been in the animal welfare industry for over 20 years. A graduate of the Marin Humane Society’s Canine Behavior Academy, a working intern with People Understanding Pets and a training class instructor at Pacifica Pet Dog Training, Laura’s expertise is far reaching. Additionally, Laura's passion for Rhodesian Ridgebacks has led her to foster and place more than 100 dogs into loving homes.

FBB Advisor to the Board Ariana Luchsinger, has been working professionally with both homed and sheltered dogs since 2003. A certified trainer & behavior-counseling graduate from the Academy for Dog Trainers, Ariana currently serves as SF Animal Care & Control’s Operations Manager and the head of Behavior and Training. She is proud to serve her San Francisco community for the betterment of people and their pets.

FBB Advisor to the Board Katy Jones grew up in a weird house with a strange variety of animals and she can’t remember a time when she was not responsible for at least one. She studied literature and creative writing in New York City before realizing she likes books but loves animals more. Today Katy works at SF Animal Care & Control in the animal care division and lives in Oakland with her rude Chihuahua.

FBB Dog Training Class Instructor Rebecca Frank is a certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Consultant who graduated from the Dog Training Internship Academy here in San Francisco. She feels incredibly lucky to be working with FBB and at SF Animal Care and Control on the Behavior and Training team. She says both teams inspires her to work hard for pet owners, shelter animals, remain head strong and compassionate, and to continuously teach herself about animal behavior. Rebecca chose this as her career path because she knew her passion for animals would carry her through and will outlast the tests of time. 

FBB Team Member Julie Herrod is a volunteer at SF Animal Care & Control where she pursues her affinity for communicating with shy, fearful, and anxious dogs. Following a 30-year editorial career, Julie worked at Pet Food Express and as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from dogtec (now dogbiz) Dog Walking Academy in 2016, but her volunteer experiences led her to focus on the challenges specific to shelter dogs. Known as “Julie the Scoop” at FBB’s pet food giveaways, Julie is delighted to also provide FBB with her editorial skills on various projects.

With over a decade of experience in the Bay Area animal welfare industry, FBB Team Member Susi Leni has leant her highly versatile expertise working at SF Puppy Prep, Pets Unlimited, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue and Berkeley Humane Society. She is currently a member of SF Animal Care & Control's Behavior & Training department. Her love and fascination of animals rivals her appetite for music.  A talented drummer and vocalist, Susi can be seen performing throughout San Francisco.

FBB Team Member Genevieve is a federal housing analyst at the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. Her practice as a public interest attorney covers homelessness, fair housing, and civil rights, with federal, state, and local experience in government affairs, public policy, nonprofit management, and fundraising. She previously served as the Chair of Friends of San Francisco Animal Care and Control, and is the lucky mom of two rescue cats, Clark and Tiger.

FBB Dog Training Class Instructor Ali Sutch is a certified graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program. She has served as volunteer coordinator and adoption counselor for Rocket Dog Rescue's Bay area shelter. Her current position as a Care Navigator for Shanti's PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support) program gives her the harm reduction and trauma-informed care mindset that she brings to FBB people and pets.

Having retired after 33 years working as a Probation Officer in Alameda County and two years of volunteering with the SF Ombudsman Office supporting elderly people, FBB Team Member Kay Ewing was looking for a different way to feel useful. Joining FBB's Mobile Pet Care Team was a perfect fit. Kay feels inspired connecting with people who despite their own overwhelming problems make their pet’s care a priority. She feels rewarded watching how the help given to people's pets, lightens their own care.
